Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship here at Coquitlam Alliance Church. 2 Corinthians 9:7 calls on us to be cheerful givers and Proverbs 3:9 calls on us to give God our firstfruits. We call our congregation to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is His.
“All spending of funds is confined to CA Church approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated toward an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for some reason as determined by CA Church, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most as determined by the Board of Elders.”

Place cheques or cash into an Offering Envelope, which are available in the pews or at the Info Desk. Please complete the tear-off portion of the Offering Envelope, tear it off, seal it into the Envelope with your donation, and drop it into the offering plate, at Connection, or into the main office mail slot.
Use your debit card at the Moneris terminal located at the Connection Counter at the Mariner campus only. Write your name on the back of the ‘merchant copy’ receipt, fill out the tear-off portion of the Offering Envelope (no need to fill in the card number, signature box), place both inside and seal it. Hand in at the Connection Counter or into the office mail slot. This can also be done Tuesday-Friday during office hours at the Mariner campus.

When using your credit card please remember that the church incurs an additional fee of between 1.72% and 3.25% for each donation.
Automatic withdrawals can be arranged from your bank account. Please pick up a Giving Brochure at the Connection Counter. Complete the form, attach a VOID cheque and hand it in at the office mail slot. This can also be set up Tuesday-Friday during office hours at the Mariner campus.
All donations made through online banking will go to the CAC general fund, unless specified by email to email@example.com prior to your donation. You will need an Offering Envelope number before you start. This can be obtained by contacting Janice at 604-464-6744 ext. 119. We are registered at TD-Canada Trust, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank, Scotiabank, CIBC, President’s Choice Financial and BC Credit Unions (including Canadian Western Bank). Add Coquitlam Alliance Church as a payee in the bill payment section. Your account number will be the first 4 letters of your last name followed by your 4 digit Offering Envelope number.
Donation of publicly traded securities. Contact Richard McGregor or Janice Doran at the church office for information on connecting you with our broker to arrange a transfer of shares. You may be further ahead donating shares than by donating their value in cash because:
– There may be no tax on any capital gains from the donated securities plus
– You get a receipt for the full value of the donated securities as of the date that our broker receives the securities on our behalf.
– You should contact your accountant to see how donating publicly traded securities can benefit you.
Please note: We recommend that your securities are transferred no later than December 14, to ensure the transaction is completed by year-end and you are eligible for a current year official tax receipt.
